Overview
The Dwijing Festival Grounds, located on the scenic banks of the Aie River near Hagrama Bridge in Bongaigaon district, have become one of Northeast India's most celebrated festival venues. Every year from December 27 to January 7, this riverside location transforms into a vibrant celebration of Bodo culture and adventure. The 12-day Dwijing Festival brings together traditional Bodo music and dance, national and international artists, adventure activities like river rafting and zip-lining, and exhibitions showcasing local art, crafts, and cuisine. The festival has put Bodoland on the global tourism map and attracts visitors from across India and abroad. Even outside the festival season, the grounds offer beautiful riverside walks, picnic spots, and a peaceful retreat by the Aie River. The area is being developed as a year-round eco-tourism destination.
